Luckily for us, we were able to take off Friday and extend our holiday weekend. Friday, we met friends for lunch at a new restaurant in Hardy, The Potato Garden. I went to high school with the owner and we were proud to show up and support her new adventure. You should definitely make a stop to see her for lunch next time you’re in Hardy. I had the BBQ nachos, which were great, and other people in our party had the potatoes that look great too! All plates were clean when we were done! After lunch, I stopped in Jades, a boutique in Hardy, and found myself a couple of great outfits! For dinner, we picked up BBQ from Bob and Sandy’s Beach Club BBQ. They never disappoint! It was perfect for the houseful we had Friday night!
Saturday morning was another adventure. We started with the Spring River Farmers Market. We picked up some fresh white bread that we used for our sandwiches at lunch! The Kawanis club was hosting a pancake breakfast at City Hall. We enjoyed pancakes outside by the waterfall! Then we opened shop and were thrilled to see the people that showed up to check out our store. We are so grateful for the support that we have received in this adventure.
Today, we are getting ready for Cinema at the Center! This is so exciting for our community. Several businesses have come together to sponsor movies throughout this summer. Stay tuned for a complete schedule. The movies will be completely free. Just show up and bring a blanket or chair. Make sure you tell the businesses that sponsor these nights a big thank you!
This weekend is a fantastic example how our community comes together to support each other. I cannot brag on the people of our area enough. Everyone works together to make sure we all make it in our small town. If your shop is doing good, so are we. Shop local, it makes the community better.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Stay safe! Hope we see you tonight at Cinema at the Center and Thursday for Thursday Floats!
Our company has been created out of a love for Cherokee Village and the surrounding area. This blog is written by us and others that share that love. Each post will share something unique about what this area has to offer. Thanks for stopping by, hope we see you soon!
